At Bauergården we cherish our Swedish traditions. Here, you can enjoy classic Swedish dishes and regional specialities from Småland, made from local produce, during all of our holidays. A select choice of traditions at Bauergården:

  • Easter buffet
    Eggs, lamb, and salmon are central at a Swedish Easter celebtration, and here you can enjoy them with high class side dishes. We collect the produce from local producers. Don’t miss out on visiting their quaint farms and shops while you’re here!
  • Midsummer buffet  “Sill” and potatoes with sourmilk and chives are central at a Swedish midsummer celebtration, and here you can enjoy them with other typical swedish summer dishes. The lunchbuffet start at 12.00 and on the midsummer evening (24/6) we serve a grillbuffet from 17.00.
  • Classic Christmas dinner
    During December, we serve our reknowned Christmas dinner, with different kinds of pickled herring, meatballs, variations on salmon, Christmas ham, Jansson’s traditional potato gratin, local sausages made from pork, beef, and wild game meat, sallads with seasonal root vegetables and cabbage, ribs, cheeses, and much more. To finish the dinner, we welcome you to our dessert table, with classics such as gingerbread cookies, homemade candy, traditional ”cheesecake” from Småland, and a rice pudding with a berry sauce. A Christmas dinner to remember!
  • A sparkling New Year´s at the edge of the forestOn the last day of the year, we serve a wondrous New Year´s menu with carefully selected ingredients and local delicacies. At midnight, we toast together on the terrass overlooking lake Bunn, and celebrate the New Year!
